President Biden
In USA, the big news was the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President. On his first day in office, Biden signed an executive order forbidding federal funds to be given to organisations which exclude imitators of the opposite sex from places where they do not belong. This executive order, should it remain in force for long, will result in the inevitable destruction of women’s sports in USA, and that effect is the one which has got the most media attention. However, for parents trying to bring up children such that they are not harmed by believing they are the opposite sex, any governmental action which normalises the idea that humans can have a ‘gender identity’ is dangerous and regressive.
Our USA team is formulating a plan to best counter this unfortunate and ill-advised development.
Who is Keira Bell?
Despite the importance of the Keira Bell ruling for gender treatment in England, the court case received little coverage from mainstream media outside the UK. As the numbers of detransitioners will only increase, cases such as Keira’s will be replicated around the world. As part of an awareness raising campaign in California, parents there asked ‘Who is Keira Bell?’
In UK the Tavistock GIDS children’s gender clinic was classified as ‘inadequate’ following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission – the UK health watchdog – in November. We shall be publishing a full response to this inspection in due course.
Dr David Bell
Having retired from The Tavistock Centre, Dr David Bell, a former staff governor there, has been able to speak more openly about his concerns regarding the gender affirming model of treatment practised at The Tavistock.
He gave an interview to Cathy Newman of Channel 4 News.
