If your family is impacted by transgender orthodoxy, time to speak up

We are incredibly proud of the work we’ve done over the past few months in getting our stories, and the stories of our fellow parents with trans-identified teens, out to the world. Thanks to all who have contributed to our project, many thousands of people have now heard parent voices, and our struggles with the trans orthodoxy that has infiltrated our schools, our religious institutions, and our homes.

Only just six months ago, the only stories one could find were those of cheerleader parents and glitter families that joyfully rushed their minor children down the path to puberty blockers, wrong sex hormones, and even surgical castration, sterilization and unnecessary breast amputations. Now the world knows that many parents do not believe that gender transition is helpful for their children’s physical and mental health and, in fact, many parents believe this process is unethical and extremely harmful to their children.

If you are a parent living this gender nightmare and trying to protect your vulnerable child, now’s the time to speak up. Add your voice to ours! You do not need to be a professional writer—only a couple of contributors have been. The rest of us are passionate amateurs with stories to tell. All you need to do is reach out to us with your draft or concept by emailing pitt@genspect.org — our volunteer parent editors will help you get your story and voice out to the world. Not a writer? Some of our parents are gathering audio stories—send us an email if you’d like to tell your story in 4 minutes or less. We’ll help you with that too!

Parents have been silent for too long. It’s time to protect our children and your children, and to safeguard the next generation. We must not abdicate our power to schools, community organizations, and those outside the family unit who cannot and do not have the best long-term interests of our children as their priority. As Abigail Shrier said, “Moms and dads have so much more power than they realize. If America’s parents wake up, everything will change for the better.”

That applies to all parents, in all countries affected by this.

Most of us parents with kids caught up in this mess can’t speak out in public. We can’t protest at town halls, or make our position clear at school board meetings. We are relying on other parents to help us there. What we can do, is research, write, speak out anonymously on podcasts, and talk to journalists.

We must do any and all of these things in our power to bring this terrible chapter in human history to an end.
