Children’s books have become a funnel for queer and gender Ideology because one of the central tenets of Queer Theory is the power of language; how words shape people and culture. Changing cis culture with the very youngest children makes sense to transactivists. The most recent edition of The Bare Naked Book attempted to change the culture from ‘cis’ to ‘transgender’ or simply, ‘sex established at conception’ to ‘sex assigned at birth’.
