diagnostic overshadowing
The act of diagnosing a person with ‘gender dysphoria‘ without giving consideration to other possible causes of a person’s distress. A term coined by Dr Hilary Cass in her Interim Report published in February 2022
open future
The right of a child to not have their future limited by foreclosing their identity formation (see social affirmation) or by inappropriate medicalisation.
