1. WRITE TO YOUR LAWMAKERS

Given the differing opinions on this issue, it can be helpful to look at what organizations like the ACLU are opposed to. They offer a state by state breakdown of the various bills that might have to do with Gender Affirming  Care that are being heard in committee meetings across the country.

GO HERE https://www.aclu.org/legislative-attacks-on-lgbtq-rights?impact=health&state=

Click on your state. Read the synopsis of the bills being proposed. If you agree with a bill, send an email/letter in support of this bill. If you disagree with a bill, send an opposition letter stating why you disagree. The bills offer links to testify and/or submit testimony. If that window is closed, you can click on the link to the committee members and send them individual emails as to why you support/oppose a bill.

If you need supporting information for your emails/calls/ letter about  bills that relate to Gender Affirming Care, please see our downloadable handouts here.
