Three bills go before the Senate Committee in California this week concerning the health and wellbeing of minors and their families. These bills are designed to separate children from parents who don’t gender affirm their child, and to keep gender transition a secret from the child’s parents. (Description of bills below.)
Quick Facts About Gender Affirmation Medicine and Surgeries for Minors:
Hormone Blockers:
· per the FDA, they can cause brain inflammation, blindness and early onset osteoporosis.
· They cause chemical castration and are the same drugs given to male sex offenders.
· They are cancer causing and contribute to heart disease.
Surgeries: Healthy body parts are removed and person is left with huge scars, infertility, a dependence on drugs for the rest of their life, and a myriad of other health issues.

AB 957: The intent of this bill is to change the language concerning the health, safety and welfare of a child to include a parent’s affirmation of the child’s gender identity. This bill seeks to remove any child from a parent or family that is not gender affirming their child because this will now be considered abuse and neglect.
AB 223: This bill would require any petition for a change of gender, sex identifier, and name filed by a person under 18 years of age, and any papers associated with the proceeding, to be filed under seal. In other words, minors are allowed to change their gender and name legally without their parent’s knowledge.
AB 665: This bill concerns the mental health services of a minor and removes the requirement that children must be a danger to themselves or others, or be alleged incest or abuse victims, before seeking care without their parents’ consent. This law enables school counselors, without parental knowledge or consent, to send children straight to a group home upon a minor’s request even if the child isn’t experiencing abuse or neglect, or if children say their parents aren’t supportive of their “gender identities.”
